the hands of Diego Simeone's Atletico Madrid. Bayern were humbled to a 1-0 defeat in Madrid last week and were held to a 1-1 draw by Borussia Monchengladbach at the weekend to put their Bundesliga title celebrations on hold. This 1-1 stalemate was only the second time they have failed to win at home this season.
Meanwhile, Atletico's 1-0 win over Rayo Vallecano at the weekend saw them keep pace with La Liga's title chasing duo of Barcelona and rivals Real Madrid. Diego Simeone's side have won their last seven competitive outings, conceding just one goal in the process.
Bayern will have to work extra hard to break down Atletico's resolute defence, as the Spanish club could hold firm to secure their place in the Champions League final.
