Taylor Swift Tops Forbes' List Of Highest-Paid Celebrities Of 2016
Taylor Swift is the highest-paid celebrity of 2016, having earned an astounding $170 million over the past year, according to Forbes’ annual list of the top 100 moneymaking stars. See more rankings below.
Last year, Swift placed in eighth with $80 million, but the singer has more than doubled her salary over the past 12 months thanks to her "1989 World Tour," which grossed more than $200 million. Coming in at number two is One Direction with $110 million, which will have to be split four ways between the members of the boy band.
There were a significant amount of musicians who made the list, including Adele at number nine with $80.5 million, Madonna at number 12 with $76.5 million, Rihanna at 13 with $75 million, Calvin Harris at number 21 with $63 million and Katy Perry landing at number 63 with $41 million.
Other notable entertainers on the list included Kevin Hart in sixth place with $87.5 million, thanks to his successful movie and stand-up career, and Howard Stern in the seventh spot with $85 million. And Kim Kardashian, who is featured on the magazine’s cover, is sitting at number 42 on the list with $51 million, thanks in part to her mobile game Kim Kardashian.
