The concierge released a statement to French gossip magazine, "Closer," to free himself from any accusations.
Kim Kardashian was held at gunpoint and tied up in the bathroom of her private luxury apartment in Paris, France early Monday morning last week, while five thieves disguised as police officers made off with about $11m in jewelry.
Following the incident, Kim reportedly spoke to the Parisian office and said the concierge, who was also held at gunpoint and forced to lead the armed robbers in to the reality star's room, was calm throughout the ordeal. The concierge got a lot of criticisms in the media for his unfazed demeanor, so he released a statement to French gossip magazine, Closer, to free himself from any accusations.
"Dear Kim.when you feel the cold of the gun on your neck, calm is the only way to stay alive, for you and me," he said via The Hollywood Reporter, finishing with; "I hope you are getting better".
Last week Thursday, TMZ learned that authorities found a video of the robbers fleeing Kim's No Address Hotel on bicycles, but the images were reportedly too blurry to distinguish any facial features.
However, CCTV footage was recovered from a shoe across Kim's private hotel building, which finds a mysterious black limousine with blacked-out windows circling the building three times; first at 2:34am, again at 2:45am, and lastly at 2:54am, Kim reportedly made a distress call to her bodyguard Pascal Duvier at 2:56am.
The police are currently on the lookout for the black vehicle, which may be connected to the Kardashian jewelry heist.
