The Liverpool star is out with an ankle injury
Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho will be out for five to six weeks, after suffering an ankle injury in the 2-0 win against Sunderland.
The Brazilian had to be stretched off on Saturday when he was involved in a nasty collision with Sunderland midfielder Didier Ndong.
There were conflicting reports, with some sources disclosing that Coutinho could miss the season or be out for three to four months, however the 24-year-old will not require surgery.
Liverpool’s talisman will likely miss Premier League matches against Bournemouth, West Ham United, Middlesbrough, Everton, Stoke City, Manchester City and Sunderland.
Manchester United away on the 15th of January is likely when Jurgen Klopp may be able to call upon his star man.
The attacking trio of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Coutinho will not feature again until February, with Sadio Mane participating in the African Cup of Nations in January.
Coutinho has scored five goals and has five assists to his name in the league this season.
